Back from Ghana

Dear readers,

I am now back from Ghana where I spent four months teaching. I have had an amazing time and have met many wonderful people! Ghanaian's are so very hospitable and welcoming - everywhere I went I was greeted with "akwaaba" which means "welcome" in Ghanaian.

I am new to digital photography and have had a lot of fun manipulating the images to create the different effects. This drama session with class 3 I've titled "The Girl with the Red Coat." The idea was inspired from the film "Schindler's List."

Great that you would make this sort of contribution and that you got back safe and sound. Imagine you learned much and perhaps gained even more than you gave, as so often happens to people willing to give of themselves.

Could also imagine you may have some modest adjustments adjusting to life back on the home front.

May the blessings you receive each day, be the ones you need the most.

Dear Victoria,

Thank you for your very kind words. They were very touching! Yes, I have certainly learned a lot from my experience and have gained much. The genuine friendship and openness was apparent every where I went. I strongly recommend Ghana as a place to visit/work or holiday in.

Respectfully,

Sure miss your writing and the wonderful manner that you go about the sharing of thoughts, observations, experiences and the knowledge you have gained regarding the general subject of LDD. I know it has helped me and I am sure many others.

Spring is in full bloom for many of us and while the fragrance of lilacs bring fond memories from the past, they and other indications of spring are also a sign of renewal and recommitment or perhaps for some, a time for graduation and moving on to new fresh chapters in our lives.

Thank you for sharing so much with your readers in the past, for the help and guidance you passed along to us and for inspiring others with your efforts to make a difference in Ghana.

Hope this finds you and yours well and happy.

All the best,

-Victoria

Dear Victoria,

Thank you so much for your very kind message full of support. I truly appreciate it.

I have had so many personal things going on in my life since coming back from Ghana that it has been difficult to pick up and resume my blog. Hopefully this will change in the near future.

Yes, spring is the time for new beginnings, renewal and recommitment. It is also a time to renew our submission and commitment to our loving HOH, leader and guide.

Thank you once again, Victoria for your lovely message.

All my best to you and your family.
